Guided Forest Therapy Walk- PUBLIC
Shinrin Yoku
Service Description
PUBLIC WALKS ARE WALKS THAT ARE FREE TO PARTICIPANTS THANKS TO PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN THE WONDER PATH AND VARIOUS PUBLIC ENTITIES. These walks will be posted on our calendar & are offered on a first come, first serve basis. to our walkers. Shinrin Yoku or Forest Bathing, was originated in Japan & is still practiced there today. "Shinrin" in Japanese means "forest", and "Yoku" means “bathing.” So Shinrin Yoku means bathing in the forest atmosphere, or taking in the forest through our senses. This way of enjoying nature & being outside is not exercise, hiking, or jogging in the forest. It is simply being in nature, connecting with it through our senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch & more. Shinrin-Yoku acts like a bridge....by opening our senses, it bridges the gap between us and the Natural World. Sally is a certified Shinrin Yoku Guide through the Association of Forest & Nature Therapy. Walks can be custom designed for individuals, families, small groups, corporate groups, or groups of people with special needs. Contact us to schedule a walk & for pricing.
